Myofascial Release is a technique that restores the elasticity and structural balance to the muscle and connective tissue system. Fascia is connective tissue that surrounds everything in our body and is connected like a web from the top of our head to our toes. This helps to explain why pain in one area can be related to another place in your body.
Therapeutic Pilates focuses on strengthening the core muscles of the body. The exercises target abdominal and back muscles, improving spinal flexibility and posture. Pilates instruction is offered for general wellness, prenatal/postnatal training, and for individuals with specific physical limitations.
Process Acupressure is performed by applying finger pressure to acupoints (similar to Acupuncture but without needles) to reduce blockages in the meridian system. This is combined with dialogue during the treatment to enhance body awareness and self-healing.

Cranialsacral Therapy (CST) is a safe, gentle, hands-on technique that words well with both specific problems and for general wellness. The goal of CST is to restore balance to the nervous system. This is achieved through gentle manipulation, primarily to the head and spine, but can incorporate all areas of the body. This rejuvenating technique is extremely helpful for back discomfort, injuries and symptoms of unresolved pain.
Somato-Emotional Release (SER) is used in conjunction with the light touch of Craniosacral Therapy. The therapist uses dialogue with her clients to assist them in getting in touch with old emotions and thoughts that could be related to physical symptoms or hindering them in their life in some capacity.
Ergonomic Evaluation and Training focuses on an individual's relationship to his/her work environment. Recommendations to minimize potential health stressors and improve postural alignment are identified, resulting in a decrease in symptoms.

What can I expect during a session?
Adults lie fully clothed on a table while Alyssa uses gentle manual therapy. Some adults fall asleep as their nervous system relaxes while others actively participate in their own healing process. Sessions run from 60-90 minutes, or longer if needed.
